Last weekend, our residents took to their festive ways and threw their 6th Annual Halloween party, complete with costumes, food — and plenty of good times.

If we were a matchmaker, then we’d say that we couldn’t imagine a more perfect fit for our riverfront community than the newest Rocketts Landing commercial tenant, James River Association (JRA). A nonprofit organization that “serves as a guardian for the James River,” JRA has found their new office home at Rocketts Landing — and we’re thrilled to have them join our growing community.

Great news, friends! The Virginia Capital Trail, which will eventually wind its way along the James River through Rocketts Landing, has seen some wonderful developments in the past few weeks. As huge advocates of the Trail that will eventually link Richmond to Jamestown on one continuous multi-use path, we’re excited to hear about the project’s recent progress. So, we wanted to share the news with you.

Now that we’re deep in the fall season, the Rocketts Landing riverfront is turning into a wedding destination for many Richmonders. And we love seeing all these blushing brides and grinning grooms! With the city skyline and James River as the backdrop, and a seamless experience provided by The Boathouse, we believe that a Rocketts Landing riverfront wedding offers the perfect experience for the perfect moment.

This past weekend, Maritime Ministries hosted their first open house and invited the public to come down to Rocketts Landing and board their sailboats to learn more about their outreach efforts — and life on a boat. On October 5, about 60 people came out to our riverfront community, including visitors from across Virginia and as far away as Elizabeth City and Ocracoke Island, N.C.

We’ve had a wonderful run of Rocketts Landing events over the past couple of weeks. And we’ve enjoyed every single minute of fun!
