The time has arrived, Richmond, for the first ever RVA Wake N' Sun Fest at Rocketts Landing! Our last big hoorah for the summer is set to make a huge splash along the banks of the James River, with plenty of live music, great food and cool drinks, and a slew of outdoor river sports. As an inaugural Labor Day weekend event, we're thrilled to serve as the location host this year and can't wait for the family-friendly fun to begin!

LOVE Rules at Rocketts Landing

LOVE is in the air at Rocketts Landing, or rather, on the ground along the banks of the James River! On August 16, Virginia Tourism arrived at The Boathouse restaurant and set up a large, light-filled LOVE sculpture (that they've dubbed a "LOVEwork"), which dazzles over the horizon and our RVA city skyline. And we've absolutely fallen in love with this temporary exhibit and have enjoyed seeing this creative reminder that Virginia is for lovers!

Another year, another eventful International Dragon Boat Festival along our riverfront community at the banks of the James River! Over 2200 people (around 1500 spectators and 775 participants) are estimated to have attended this year's event, bringing with them good times, competitive spirits and loads of festival fun.

Mark your calendars, Richmond! We've got another new event planned for this fall at Rocketts Landing: the CZC Fall Bash. This coming September (during one of our busiest event months of the year), local nonprofit Comfort Zone Camp will throw their annual fundraiser, the CZC Fall Bash, at our riverfront community. Combining fund drives with a rockin' party along the James River is one of our favorite pastimes -- and we're excited to invite you to the festivities!

After months of preparation, Rocketts Landing neighbor Flatheads restaurant has opened for business! As Richmond's only floating restaurant, the Flatheads dining boat is docked beside our community near the University of Richmond crew club house (for old-school Richmonders, it's where the Annabelle Lee was located). We've been anxiously waiting for them to open, so we decided to spend last Friday afternoon testing out the latest culinary splash along the riverfront.
