My, oh my! What a year we had right around the river at Rocketts Landing. From new events to new buildings to new businesses, 2013 was a year of action. Our countdown for the Top 10 Developments at Rocketts Landing in 2013 begins now!
We can’t believe it, but somehow, Christmas is next week — and New Year’s Eve is right around the corner! So, what better way to celebrate the season than with a visit to Rocketts Landing restaurants? From delicious Christmas Eve dinners to private parties that ring in 2014, holiday memories await you along the James River at Rocketts Landing.
We’re just a few weeks away from Christmas, and RVA holiday celebrations abound. This Saturday, you can enjoy two different festive events at Rocketts Landing. From an art party at Rocketts Art Studios (RAS) to a stellar boat parade down the James River, seasonal fun is right around the bend at Rocketts Landing.
The holiday spirit is in the air — and while there are many reasons to celebrate, the season also is a reminder of the many people who don’t have enough to eat. So, Rocketts Landing is teaming up with FeedMore’s Central Virginia Food Bank for a food drive to help our fellow Richmonders have the food they need this holiday season.
At our riverfront community, getting out on the James River is a way of life. And thanks to organizations like the Carefree Boat Club at Rocketts Landing (formerly the Mariners Club), instant river action is easier than ever! Carefree Boat Club is also now under new ownership, so we decided to chat with Owner Bryan Courtney about his experience, vision and passion for being out on the river. Below is our Q&A. Enjoy!
‘Tis the season for gathering with friends and family — and, as usual, our Rocketts Landing residents wasted no time finding an opportunity to get together and have fun! On October 16, the Rocketts Landing residents’ Social Committee hosted its annual fall Oyster Roast and Brunswick Stew gathering. Around 30 people came together for one heck of a fall feast along the banks of the James River.
We’re not quite sure how it happened, but somehow, Thanksgiving is already around the corner! And what better way to enjoy the holiday than by gathering with friends and family for Thanksgiving dinner at Rocketts Landing restaurants. Sure, you could toil in the kitchen for hours and hours … or, you could let our riverfront community’s chefs do the cooking for you, so you can spend more time celebrating and less time fretting!
Rocketts Landing is home to a variety of businesses — restaurants, law firms, marketing companies — in our riverfront community along the James River. And thanks to Rocketts Landing resident, Tom Yeaman, our community now includes the new working artists studio, Rocketts Art Studios.
They came. They drank. They savored. This past weekend, Richmond Beeristoric stopped by the beer caves at Rocketts Landing down by the banks of the James River and brought with them a group of nearly 100 enthusiastic beer drinkers. Coupled with blue skies and fair temperatures, their visit continued an annual tradition of learning about Rocketts Landing’s role in Richmond’s rich beer history — while sampling some delicious craft beer.
Rocketts Landing restaurants are gearing up for another busy holiday season. And while they prepare to wine and dine Richmonders in their riverside celebratory style, they’re also hard at work keeping daily patrons happy. From new menus to tap takeovers to live music, Rocketts Landing restaurants certainly know how to keep things fresh. So, we wanted to give a shout out to new developments happening right now!
