Earlier in the week, we shared news about the exciting expansion in our riverfront community for website and app developer, V4 Development. And today, we have another great update from Rocketts Landing commercial tenant BrownGreer. On Tuesday, September 17, the Rocketts Landing-based law firm hosted a blood drive through the Virginia Blood Services -- the first one organized in our community.
While onsite, Virginia Blood Services hoped to reach a donation goal of 13 units. Thanks to the enthusiastic support from BrownGreer employees and community members, they were able to reach and even exceed their goal! In total, 22 people came out to donate blood, and their donations were enough to help save as many as 66 lives.
"BrownGreer appreciates the cooperation of the Rocketts Landing community on making this a successful blood drive," says John Bates, director of facilities for BrownGreer. "We hope to be able to repeat this process in the spring."
We are inspired by the selfless actions showed by organizer BrownGreer and their proactive volunteerism — just another reason we love our awesome commercial tenants. We look forward to another great blood drive at Rocketts Landing next year!
