And now that Memorial Day is behind us (with some stellar fireworks and celebrations), we’re psyched to enjoy the unofficial launch of summer with good times right around the river.
Rocketts Red Glare is our annual celebration that offers an afternoon and evening filled with yummy eats, great music — and Richmond's only Memorial Day fireworks, directly over the James River. We've been planning away to make sure that this year's family-friendly event is our best yet, and you're invited to join us!
They came. They bid. They purchased! On May 20, we welcomed around 70 people to our first ever Rocketts Landing condo auction. And, we're happy to report that we've sold 28 homes, meaning we're about to gain many new homeowners in our close-knit riverfront community.

Since announcing the auction last month, we've had a steady stream of interested homebuyers attend our open houses and visit the 25 condos up for bid. My, oh, my — the time is flying by, friends! With the Rocketts Landing condo auction scheduled for May 20, potential homebuyers have only a handful of days left to tour the 25 homes and register to participate in the auction. To help interested applicants get a feel for our close-knit community, we're hosting a champagne cocktail party this evening at our upcoming open house — and we'd love to see you there.
Momentum is growing at Rocketts Landing. In addition to our upcoming condo auction and new restaurant Mbargo moving into the former M Bistro & Wine Bar space, the first townhomes developed by HHHunt are in construction! Once complete, they'll bring over 80 new homes to our community, which means a bunch of new Rocketts Landing residents enjoying life right around the river.
Great news, friends! We have a new restaurant coming to Rocketts Landing that will fill a perfect niche in our community: Mbargo. When M Bistro & Wine bar closed this past winter after a three-year run, we knew that just the right restaurant would come our way and bring new dining options to Rocketts Landing. So, we're excited to announce that Mbargo will serve our community as an eatery and market, with a planned opening at the end of the month!

With May officially here, so is a week full of action at Rocketts Landing. From a Mother's Day brunch to a bike race to patio entertainment, we've got you covered with a variety of ways to get out and enjoy the season this week right around the river!
With our first event of 2014 behind us, the Rocketts Landing event season is off to a great start! Last Saturday, over 500 people came out for the annual Rocketts Landing Collegiate Regatta and enjoyed a daylong rowing race on the James River. Fabulous spring sunshine and temperatures filled the day as collegiate crew teams raced and spectators cheered them on — and we enjoyed every minute!
With last weekend's Collegiate Regatta behind us, we're officially entering our event season in full force at Rocketts Landing! And next on our agenda is the annual Cap2Cap Bike Ride. On May 10, we're in for more sweaty spandex and smiles filling our community — only this time the event swaps out the James River for the road — and we're excited for every moment.
