My, oh, my — the time is flying by, friends! With the
Rocketts Landing condo auction scheduled for May 20, potential homebuyers have
only a handful of days left to tour the 25 homes and register to participate in
the auction. To help interested applicants get a feel for our close-knit
community, we're hosting a champagne cocktail party this evening at our open house — and we'd love to see you there.
"Raise a Toast to Rocketts" Champagne Cocktail Party
In the short time since announcing our condo auction, we've had a steady stream of interest at our weekly open houses! This is the last full week that we're hosting our open houses before the auction begins, and we've decided to host a champagne cocktail party with you in mind. Both Rocketts Landing residents and interested auction participants are invited to attend our "Raise a Toast to Rocketts" open house cocktail party.
"We believe hosting this event is a great chance for people considering the auction to converse with residents and get a feel of what it's like to live here at Rocketts Landing," explains Amy Broderick, Rocketts Landing sales manager.
So, if you're interested in the auction but haven’t yet attended an open house, then today's gathering is one not to miss!
Only Five Days Left to Visit an Auction Open House
As a reminder, we have only five more days left
to visit our open houses before our auction kicks off on Tuesday, May 20! These self-guided tours will
allow you to visit all homes in our upcoming auction — located in our stylishly
contemporary 210 Rock building and luxury Fall Line and Sky Line buildings.
From an 893-square-feet flat in 210 Rock to a 2,188-square-feet home in Fall
Line and beyond, you'll have a variety of quality homes to explore and choose
from.
Auction Registration and Financing Preapproval – the Earlier, the Better!
In order to participate in the auction, you must be sure to register with our auction sales team by Monday, May 19. You receive your auction registration form by visiting one of our open houses and can submit your form either in person or via mail (but given how close we are to the auction date, we suggest an in-person delivery!).
When registering, you'll have a chance to list your top four
choices out of the 25 available homes on auction (which makes visiting an open house to see these homes
firsthand even more important). By knowing your top four favorites, we'll be able
to gauge people's interest in specific homes, and — to the best of our ability
— help ensure that the we auction participants' first choices before we auction
homes categorized as second, third and fourth options.
Also, should you win a bid at the auction, your contract will only be contingent on financing if you have preapproval from George Mason. Lender Will Ballentine from George Mason Mortgage will be onsite at our open houses to help interested buyers discuss their financing options, and the Bridge Trust Title Group will serve as the closing agent. Any winning bidders who work with Bridge Trust Title Group and Will Ballentine (from George Mason Mortgage) will receive a $2,000 incentive and a financing contingency.
