With May officially here, so is a week full of action at Rocketts Landing. From a Mother's Day brunch to a bike race to patio entertainment, we've got you covered with a variety of ways to get out and enjoy the season this week right around the river!

Our Key West–themed restaurant always knows how to keep Richmonders happy and enjoying the carefree side of life! And this week, they have a slew of music happening at their riverfront restaurant. With their stellar patio overlooking the James River, great drinks and yummy food, we're certain the perfect happy hour awaits you!

2014 CAP2CAP BIKE RIDE – SATURDAY, MAY 10


The Cap2Cap Bike Ride brings out all types of cycling enthusiasts to Rocketts Landing.

Cycling enthusiasts will once again fill our community with thousands of people supporting the Cap2Cap Bike Ride. As a fundraiser for the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation, this annual event brings out people from across the region for a day of cycling fanfare and celebration of the 55-mile-long pedestrian trail that (once complete) will link Richmond to Jamestown. The ride finishes with a lively afterparty along the riverfront at Rocketts Landing, complete with a custom-brewed Capital Trail Pale Ale by RVA's-own Hardywood Park Brewery.

  • Time: Check-in from 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., and the ride event runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
  • Cost: Free to spectate; registration fee for those who ride (varies by selected course)
  • Register: Want to ride? Cap2Cap registration is open until Wednesday, May 7 at 11:59 p.m.

MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCH AT THE BOATHOUSE – SUNDAY, MAY 11


Enjoy dining with a view at The Boathouse along the James River at Rocketts Landing.

Those who want to pamper mom this Mother's Day should look no further than The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing. They've prepared a scrumptious brunch buffet brimming with dishes such as made-to-order omelets, house-smoked salmon, Surry-smoked sausage and bacon, and more! Combine their delectable riverfront views with a family-friendly affair, and you've got the perfect makings for memories mom will savor for years.

ROCKETTS LANDING AUCTION OPEN HOUSE & "TASTE OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD"


Visit our auction open house to learn more about our thriving community in Richmond, Virginia.

Yep, you heard that right! To prepare for phase 2 of our community's development, we're closing out 25 condos in our Fall Line, Sky Line and 210 Rock buildings with an exciting one-day auction. And to ramp things up, we're holding a series of open houses where you can come out and visit the homes on a self-guided tour. This Sunday, we're hosting a "Taste of the Neighborhood" sampling at our open house, where our community's restaurants will be offering delicious samples of their food for open house visitors to try and enjoy! We'll also have live music to pair with your tasting.

  • Time: Open house is from 11 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and our "Taste of the Neighborhood" event runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • RSVP: No registration needed. Simply stop by our auction information center at 4845 Old Main Street in our community to sign in and receive your open house material.
