Comfort Zone Camp Fall Bash Hits Rocketts Landing This Fall

Mark your calendars, Richmond! We've got another new event planned for this fall at Rocketts Landing: the CZC Fall Bash. This coming September (during one of our busiest event months of the year), local nonprofit Comfort Zone Camp will throw their annual fundraiser, the CZC Fall Bash, at our riverfront community. Combining fund drives with a rockin' party along the James River is one of our favorite pastimes -- and we're excited to invite you to the festivities!
While this is the first time Comfort Zone Camp has chosen Rocketts Landing as the event location, their annual fundraiser has over a decade of celebrations behind them. In its 12th year, the CZC Fall Bash helps raise money to support Comfort Zone Camp's goal of providing an environment where grieving children can have fun and break the isolation that often accompanies loss. They also provide coping-skills development and a network for grieving adults and family members.
The CZC Fall Bash is also a way for the Comfort Zone Camp to celebrate and bring together the hundreds of volunteers who dedicate their time and energy assisting the one in seven children who have lost parents or siblings in Central Virginia. And we’re honored to host their 2013 fall fundraiser location.
“Rocketts Landing is a perfect venue to host an event,” explains David Hylton, Comfort Zone Camp community outreach specialist. “Nothing says Richmond like hanging out by the river with great friends.”
We completely concur! Event details so far include:
- When: The CZC Fall Bash will take place on Saturday, September 28 along the banks of the James River.
- What: An eventful party that includes live music by The Reality Show Band, an all-you-can-eat oysters and barbeque buffet, wine and beer — and dancing, lots of dancing! **Please note that this party is reserved for adults who are at least 21 years old.
- Cost: Early-bird event pricing is $50 for guests and $40 for camp volunteers, and ends on August 31, increasing by $10 on September 1. Admission includes two free drinks. Proceeds from the Fall Bash go toward supporting more programming throughout the CZC camps.
