Snowy Wonderland Fills Rocketts Landing

Post Date: 03-07-2014

Just because it's March doesn't mean RVA has shed her winter spirits! Rocketts Landing recently turned into a wonderland as yet another snowstorm plowed through the region. While we're antsy for warmer weather (think of all the river activities waiting!), we couldn't help but be swept away as the billowing white blanketed our riverfront community. We took a bunch of pictures when the snow fell and thought we'd share!

Rocketts Landing entrance fills with snow at our historic Cedar Works buildings and 210 Rock.

Rocketts Landing's compass and historic marker gets a snowy visit.

Snow covers the Rocketts Landing marina.

Our Deep Water Sponger, a sculpture about water conservation, stands strongly amidst the winter wonderland.

Snowfall pours onto one of our community's buildings, Skyline.

An evening snow covers the old railroad tracks (which are currently being removed to make way for the Virginia Capital Trail) immediately in front of our newest riverfront homes, Riverbank Terraces.

The Beer Caves at Rocketts Landing take on a new life as snow falls from above.
