What’s New at Rocketts Landing Restaurants

Post Date: 11-06-2013

Rocketts Landing restaurants are gearing up for another busy holiday season. And while they prepare to wine and dine Richmonders in their riverside celebratory style, they’re also hard at work keeping daily patrons happy. From new menus to tap takeovers to live music, Rocketts Landing restaurants certainly know how to keep things fresh. So, we wanted to give a shout out to new developments happening right now!

New Dinner Menu at M Bistro & Wine Bar

Esteemed Richmond Chef Michael Hall owns and operates this French-inspired Southern restaurant at Rocketts Landing, which offers creative, high-end cuisine. Prior to opening M Bistro & Wine Bar, Hall gained a devoted foodie following during his time running the kitchens at Richmond’s The Bull and Bear Club and The Dining Room at The Berkeley Hotel. And his devotees have kept him busy satiating their palates at M Bistro, with dishes like his signature M Bistro Crabcakes developing a cult following.

Just in time for fall, M Bistro & Wine Bar released a new dinner menu, featuring seasonal items that will make your mouth water. Dishes such as Lobster and Crab Tartlet with Black Truffle Greens, Orange Gremolata Salmon–Wrapped Sea Scallop, and Charred Maple Pork Loin are waiting for your taste buds. M Bistro & Wine Bar also has a new website (with the new menu forthcoming), so be sure to check it out!

Craft Beer Tap Takeover at The Boathouse on Nov. 7 for RVA Beer Week

The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing is known for its wood-fired pizzas, delectable seafood, and of course, an awesome riverfront view of the James River and downtown skyline. The restaurant’s delicious dining and ambiance make it a common Richmond wedding location and holiday event space. And when you throw RVA Beer Week into the mix (which is happening this week!), The Boathouse also becomes a great beer destination for anyone thirsty for some stellar local brews.

Tomorrow, Nov. 7, Ashland’s craft brewer, Center of the Universe, is taking over the taps at The Boathouse for dinner from 5:00 p.m. to close. So, if you’ve not tried this brewer’s beers, now is a perfect opportunity to plan a date and sample all the beer-goodness! You’ll get to taste four beers that include the limited-release Chambourcin Port Barrel Aged Flight School and newly released El Duderino White Russian Milk Stout. You can also enjoy perfectly paired dishes for each beer you taste.

Live Folk Music at Conch Republic Rocketts on Nov. 7

Conch Republic is Rocketts Landing’s laid-back, Key West–inspired restaurant along the riverfront and beside The Boathouse — and they have developed a reputation for ensuring everyone taps into their beachy-selves over some good food, yummy drinks, and easy-going attitudes.

On Nov. 7, you can enjoy live music with your dinner to the sounds of Dane Ferguson from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Described as an “alternative folk soloist” who also frequently plays as part of a trio, Dane brings a casual, acoustic guitar-driven sound that is the perfect soundtrack for sipping on a delicious drink while watching the sun set over the James River. Conch Republic also has a spiffy new website, where you can plan to enjoy more live music through their event calendar.
