At Rocketts Landing, we thoroughly appreciate the local businesses that choose to call our riverfront community home. From restaurants to law firms to marketing consultants and beyond, we have a great variety of Rocketts Landing commercial tenants who enjoy their business life here along the banks of the James River.
So, when we hear about their successes and growth, we can't help but tout the wonderful things our commercial tenants are doing. For V4 Development, an RVA-based website and app development firm, their reason to celebrate is a move from 210 Rock to the historic Cedar Works property at 211 Rocketts Way. Or more specifically, their upgrade from their previous shared office space into an over 3,000-square-foot open-concept office with expansive skyline views.
V4 Development's move is the result of a growing team and roster of clientele keeping them busy.
“Most of our clients are referrals, as we choose to foster clients and turn them into champions,” explains David vanBlaricom II, V4 Development founder and managing partner. “Our company philosophy is, ‘Watch the doors open and stick your head through.’ Over the past two years, we’ve been able to build a core team, and we’re really agile right now and can jump on projects as they have priority.”
The team keeps themselves creatively busy developing a variety of apps for devices like iPhonesTM, iPadsTM and AndroidTM phones. In fact, their company’s tagline is, “You think it. We build it.” Their can-do mentality invites creative projects such as Sideline, an iPad sports-team tracking app for little league coaches that will launch soon. V4 Development also dedicates at least a third of their time dedicated to Atrium — a campus card management platform they’ve rolled out nationally (in partnerships with other companies), whose direct competitors include the education software, Blackboard.
And when they find themselves with a moment of free time, the V4 Development team seizes any opportunity to get outside and enjoy the James River and Rocketts Landing community view. Whether taking lunch on their patio, debriefing on their office’s rooftop or socializing over happy hour at one of our community’s restaurants, V4 Development embraces their riverfront lifestyle as a Rocketts Landing commercial tenant.
“It’s like a vacation when you come here,” says David. “I feel like I took my desk down to the river, and while you can still see RVA in the backdrop, it’s like I’m working from my bubble of a resort. Even the air feels different.”
While we may be partial, we completely agree! Congrats to David and the rest of the V4 Development team. We look forward to being a part of their continuing growth and success.
