Celebrate Christmas in July at Rocketts Art Studios in Rocketts Landing

We're deep in the middle of summer, and (despite a few cool days recently) deep in summer's humidity and heat, too. So, what better way to refresh your senses than by inviting thoughts of snow and icicles early with Christmas in July at Rocketts Art Studios (RAS) in Rocketts Landing? This Thursday, RAS opens their art-studio doors for a holiday-themed gathering to help you get a head start on your gifts and inspirations. Featuring everything from an art raffle to an art-filled Christmas tree to seasonal drinks and treats, RAS' Christmas in July event is both art exhibition and celebration — and they're inviting you to the party!
The building on stilts is home to Rocketts Art Studios at Rocketts Landing.
Peruse (and Buy!) Locally Made Art
RAS-based artist Diane Clement and local painter William Parrish are the featured artists in their
current exhibit, Abstract
Expressionism, and studio visitors can peruse their newest paintings. Local
artist Celeste Miller will also have her
jewelry on display and available for purchase. She has years of experience
teaching classes in silver jewelry making, as well as stained glass, fused
glass, glass mosaics and silk scarf painting.
Art by local painter William Parrish is currently on display at Rocketts Art Studios.

Diane has put one of her original artworks up for raffle!
For just $20, you can buy a ticket and enter to win her painting,
"Undersea Volcano" — a 24"x36" work valued at $695. Or, you
can buy three tickets for $50 and increase your odds of walking home with her
vibrant abstract painting.

Grab an Art Coupon
In addition to the art raffle, "Christmas in July"
visitors can also snag an art coupon for $20 from the Christmas tree, good
for $150 off any of Diane's paintings featured at Rocketts Art Studios valued
at $450 or more. The coupons are actually miniature paintings created by Diane
— and each are uniquely designed and hang on the gallery's event Christmas
Tree.

Nosh and Mingle
Of course, you can't have a Christmas gathering without
seasonal delicacies! Not only will RAS have open house snacks on hand (cheese
and crackers, etc.), you'll also get to nosh on Christmas cookies and other
seasonal foods and drinks while being surrounded by great art and people. In
fact, socializing while perusing art is just the type of gathering RAS loves to
host.
Inviting people to come together for art and socializing is a mission of RAS.
