Sign Up Early for Rocketts Landing 2013 Events

Whether you're ready or not, a new year is quickly approaching, friends. And so are Rocketts Landing athletic events in 2013! We host a slew of races and rides throughout the year, offering a variety of ways to test your athleticism while enjoying Rocketts Landing's camaraderie and fun. Early registration is open for a few of our events, so if you're the type to plan ahead (and save some money in the process), we thought we'd pass the info along!

Cap2Cap Bike Ride (May 11, 2013)

Cap2Cap is an annual bike ride supporting the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation -- an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the 55-mile pedestrian and bicycle trail currently being built to link Richmond and Jamestown. Richmond.com named Cap2Cap "Richmond Outdoors: Best of 2011" top choice, which is quite fitting since it brings out over 2000 cyclists for a day of riding through the urban and countryside scenery along the James River.

Participants can ride the entire course or just a snippet of the trail, and everyone enjoys a lively after-party at Rocketts Landing. The first phase of early registration closes on January 1, so be sure to register today!

Rocketts Landing Triathlon/Duathlon (June 23, 2013)

Each year, hundreds of athletes come out to compete in our annual triathlon/duathlon. Participants race in either triathlon or duathlon courses, racing an Olympic-length course through Rocketts Landing streets, Richmond city hills and, naturally, the James River. It’s also an annual fundraiser benefiting neighboring nonprofit, the Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC). A great race for a great cause (does it get any better?)! Register today!

Richmond Rox Endurance Triathlon/Half Ironman (September 22, 2013)

Another popular Richmond Multisports event, the 5th Annual Richmond Rox Triathlon will bring people down to Rocketts Landing to compete in a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run. The course winds through our community, the James River and the countryside before ending with a post-race party on the Rocketts riverfront. Registration is open and ready!
