There's no denying that dogs (all types of them!) take front and center in many of our residents' Rocketts Landing lifestyles. With the river as our backdrop and a walking-friendly community at our core, you could say we naturally attract animal lovers to live, work and play the Rocketts Landing way.
From big dogs to small dogs, purebreds to mixed-breeds, we have quite a medley of canine friends who call our community home -- so we thought we'd share a bit of their life here at Rocketts Landing.
Sharon Hall and her five-year-old Pomeranian, Fiona, live in our Fall Line building. According to Sharon, Fiona's life at Rocketts Landing is one of pleasant leisure. Relaxing on restaurant patios. Socializing with residents. Walking by the James River. A day in the life of Fiona would make many humans green with envy. While strolling through our community, she also tends to make quite a statement in her hand-knit sweaters!
“We enjoy all of the beautiful open areas and visiting with our neighbors,” explains Sharon. “Fiona loves the long hallways, the elevator and meeting and greeting in her lobby.”
Sharon also points out that Fiona’s favorite outings are with her owner on the patio at M Bistro & Wine Bar during the spring and summer months — where Fiona enjoys making the rounds greeting other diners.
Of course, that’s not all a day in the life brings to the dogs of Rocketts Landing. There are frequent doggie-date meetups, a designated dog run available to all canine residents, outings on the James River and even rides in golf carts through our community’s streets (we’re thinking of specific canine companions on this one!).
If you’re a dog lover looking to live in a pet-friendly community (cats, birds and other animals are welcome too!), we invite you to check out Rocketts Landing. Depending on the size and weight of your dog/s, we have different home options available to you:
In the coming weeks, we’ll also profile other dogs and their owners and the Rocketts Landing lifestyles they enjoy. So be sure to check back with us soon!
