Celebrate Summer's End at Rocketts Landing This Weekend

The thick summer days are behind us and what better way to celebrate than by heading outside to Rocketts Landing for one of our lively events this weekend! We have two different fundraisers rockin' along the banks of the James River, and we're thrilled to bring Richmond together for some good vibes and great times.
The Massey Alliance at Massey on the River -- New!
In its first time at Rocketts Landing, this sold-out event will feature live music by Three Sheets to the Wind, local craft beers and dinner by Ukrops Homestyle Foods. Event goers will also enjoy a silent auction where they can bid on enticing items such as an Ultimate Outer Banks Vacation, an All-Inclusive Homestead Getaway, a VMFA Private Tour & Cocktails and many more. The event’s proceeds will benefit the VCU Massey Cancer Center's mission of saving lives through innovative cancer research and compassionate care. A good cause and a fun party — a win-win for everyone!

- Time: 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Richmond ROX Triathlon (half Ironman) – New!
The Richmond ROX Triathlon is another event new to Rocketts Landing that will bring hundreds of athletes and spectators down to our community for a half iron distance. Racers will compete by swimming 1.2 miles in the James River, cycling 56 miles into rural Varina and running 13.1 miles through downtown Richmond along the Canal Walk and back into Rocketts Landing via the Virginia Capital Trail. An outdoor afterparty follows down by The Boathouse with food catered by Rocketts’ own M Bistro & Wine Bar and live music by Sportsbar Rockstar. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation.

- Time: 7:00 a.m., race starts; 2:00 p.m. awards ceremony begins
