Rocketts Landing's newest restaurant, M Bistro & Wine Bar, opened just a few weeks ago, and already they're packing the house and making dining waves.
When Owner and Chef Michael Hall first opened the doors for business on July 22, he started off serving morning pastries and lunch. As word about M Bistro quickly spread across the city, Michael says he's seen his restaurant fill with hungry patrons every week since -- and he's already expanded dining to include dinner and Sunday brunch.
Thus far, Michael's noticed a theme for the most popular menu items: for lunch, it's the Lamb Burger; dinner dishes include the Mussels in Bacon appetizer, and Seared Chilean Sea Bass and Strip Steak entrees; and the BBQ Bacon Eggs Benedict tops the list for brunch. Other popular menu items include chocolate and raspberry croissants, bread pudding, crème brulee, strawberry shortcake brownie, and the Sally Lund and potato breads -- and they're all made in house!
But, Chef Michael reminds us that these developments are only the beginning.
“With the size of our space, already we’re evolving,” says Michael. “We’re going to take a sink out of the coffee service area and put in a refrigerator [to store their growing house-made items]. We are also going to partition off some of the dining room with acrylic glass to make it more private for people who want to book large parties.”
In the coming months, Michael’s planning to host special events at M Bistro & Wine Bar, such as an upcoming wine dinner for Rocketts Landing residents and a black tie wine event. He also will start offering Happy Hour breakfast specials, which will include a croissant egg sandwich with a coffee for a set price, good for a “pick-up-and-go morning meal.” And with four sommeliers on staff and a fully bar stocked, they’ve become a go-to destination all hours of the day.
