Look out summer heat -- the Rocketts Landing Triathlon/Duathlon is this weekend, and the event's shaping up to be one of our hottest races yet. But, we're not talking about record temperatures (we're actually thrilled to hear the weather's supposed to be around the high 80s rather than last year's triple digits!). In its fourth year, the Rocketts Landing Triathlon/Duathlon is Richmond Multisports' signature event and features an Olympic distance course that canvases the city's culture and history from urban panoramas to rolling pastoral landscapes. Sponsored by VCU Medical Center, over 400 athletes have signed up to compete in the following races:
Event Upgrades
Each year, we strive to make our community’s events better and better. So, we’re proud to highlight the following upgrades to our Rocketts Landing Triathlon/Duathlon:
The Rocketts Landing Triathlon/Duathlon is also a fundraiser benefiting local nonprofit The Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC). In addition to collected donations, Richmond Multisports will donate a portion of their food and beverage sales to the NRC, so they can continue providing important resources to neighboring community Fulton Hill.
