Gathering together for a Flying Squirrels baseball game is so very RVA -- and when you get Rocketts Landing residents, commercial tenants and staff involved, it's also the perfect outlet for our neighborly camaraderie.

Fostering a close-knit community is at the heart of our riverfront lifestyle, from our residents to our businesses to our restaurateurs. So, when The Flying Squirrels had their recent RVA Community Night, we jumped at the opportunity to sponsor the event and further embrace this regional community we call home.
On March 22, many members of the Rocketts Landing family joined us at The Diamond for some good old-fashioned fun. And because of our sponsorship, we were able to open the game and throw the first pitch. So, we brought some of the youngest Rocketts Landing residents out on the field. Brothers Jonathan and Andrew threw the opening pitch as if they do this every game. And based on the huge smiles on their faces, this was probably a memory they’ll take with him for a long time!
We all had a blast sponsoring RVA Community Night at The Diamond. So, if another opportunity comes along to sponsor a Flying Squirrels game, don’t be surprised if you see Rocketts Landing staff, residents and tenants in the bleachers, holding hot dogs and drinks, and doing The Wave. It’s just one of the many ways we like to embrace life in our community and have fun!
