Catching Up With Mediapond at Rocketts Landing

A variety of businesses find their home here along the river at Rocketts Landing. Every so often, we get a sneak peek into all the interesting projects they’re working on. From keeping the James River clean to developing mobile apps and beyond, Rocketts Landing commercial tenants certainly stay busy. And digital brand identity firm Mediapond is no exception!


Located in 210 Rock at Rocketts Landing, Mediapond helps organizations bring their brands to life through services such as web development, audio production, motion graphics and beyond. From creating a website for the Town of Leesburg’s annual Flower and Garden Festival to helping Luck Companies celebrate their recent 90th anniversary with videography and post-production services, Mediapond definitely dives in the creative waters!

And, they’ve recently expanded their services to creating branded office environments. Clients who want to create standout, brand-driven spaces — like you’ll find at Google — have an RVA resource for their design needs. 

Mediapond recently worked with locally based company Health Warrior (which is also co-owned by a Rocketts Landing resident, but more on that in a later blog!) to transform their Scott's Addition warehouse space into a vibrantly branded environment. Mediapond worked with Health Warrior to provide signage design, color consultation and interior design services that helped them align their space with their brand.

“We created a very hip design for the industrial garage door signage,” explains Karen Kelly, Mediapond’s CEO and managing partner, “and utilized the old-world brick walls and concrete floors to incorporate rustic wood and industrial steel furnishings. This seemed to fit well with the culture of the company.”

The result was a compelling, branded office space that uses natural light and dynamic graphics to bring the environment alive.

But creating brand-driven interiors isn’t the only project that’s been keeping them busy recently.

Mediapond has been working closely with Sportable, providing design services as they prepare to host the 42nd Annual Mid-Atlantic Wheelchair Games along with a kickoff event, The Paralympic Experience Day. (Sportable also helps disabled individuals enjoy water sports through their relationship with Rocketts Landing-based organization, The Virginia Boat Club.)

Along the way, they’ve been tapping into their inner Fido and helping Holiday Pet Barn Resorts to create “Bogart’s Build-Up” page. This website features the progress of “Bogart,” a 123-pound Bullmastiff who is currently training for the 12th Annual Richmond SPCA Dog Jog & 5K Race to benefit homeless pets in RVA. Featuring videos and photos of Bogart’s progress, Bogart’s Build-Up page just went live, so check it out!
